Close, but no cigar for #teamUSA on Friday, June 12th. There were few chances in front of the net for the US, but they settled for the extra point and shutout vs. Sweden, who really needed a win. With a 0-0 final score, both teams started out aggressively trying to gain possession on attacking halves, but Sweden found a way to hold the ball as the game progressed. US had exciting moments from Rapinoe with passes on top of the box, but attacking players fell short to finish.

Megan Klingenberg with a lifesaving stop on the goal line. This could have easily been Sweden’s opportunity to win the game!
